Lovingly nicknamed The Rig, our Iveco Eurocargo is our love letter to the savanna and all of it’s inhabitants. Our overland vehicle can manage whatever terrain it meets- which allows us to go into territories that most clinical aids can’t. The sidewalls of the truck fold down, tripling the square footage, and giving us the spaces necessary for surgery and triage. The vinyl flooring and electricity allows us a rare luxury in Kenya: sterile working conditions.

The importance of having a sterile work environment can be the difference between health and disease. Having The Rig at our disposal means that we can provide high quality, low risk healthcare; which is absolutely essential to our mission. With our solar panels and generators, we can remain powered and up to US health standards anywhere off grid.

On top of The Rig providing safety and cleanliness for our team and our patients during the day, it doubles as a home away from home by night. With a full kitchen, bathroom, and space to sleep several people,
